Biography

Connor Pfeiffer is Director of Congressional Relations at FDD Action. In roles on Capitol Hill and in the national security community, he has advised members of Congress, congressional staff, and candidates for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate on national security policy. Previously, Connor was executive director of the Forum for American Leadership, a nonprofit that convenes national security leaders to develop policies that advance America’s role as an active global leader, where he remains a senior advisor.  

 

Connor formerly served as national security advisor to U.S. Representative Will Hurd (R-TX), for whom he was an associate staffer for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Committee on Appropriations. His work for Rep. Hurd included enacting legislation to make drug trafficking and human smuggling in the Northern Triangle and Mexico a national intelligence priority and a bipartisan national artificial intelligence strategy that was adopted as a House resolution. He has also served as communications director for one of Hurd’s re-election campaigns.

 

Connor graduated magna cum laude in history from Princeton University and is a sixth-generation Texan born and raised in San Antonio. His writing on national security policy, including U.S.-Mexico relations, has been published in the Wall Street JournalNewsweekRealClearPolitics, and other publications.
