Biography

Connor Pfeiffer serves as Senior Director of Government Relations at FDD Action.

Connor has advised national security leaders in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House on foreign policy, intelligence, and international economic issues, with a focus on the Western Hemisphere. He most recently served as a policy advisor for U.S. Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA), where he advised Sen. McCormick on foreign policy and national security issues as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Connor led the Senator’s legislative and policy initiatives on U.S. foreign policy in the Western Hemisphere, international assistance and development finance, and trade policy. He was also policy director for McCormick’s 2024 U.S. Senate campaign.

Earlier in his career, Connor was national security advisor to U.S. Representative Will Hurd (R-TX), for whom he was an associate staffer for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Appropriations Committee. While working for Hurd, he spearheaded the enactment of legislation making drug trafficking and human smuggling in Central America and Mexico a national intelligence priority. Connor also previously served as executive director of the Forum for American Leadership, a nonprofit that convenes conservative national security leaders to develop policies that advance America’s role as an active global leader.

Connor graduated magna cum laude in history from Princeton University and is a sixth-generation Texan born and raised in San Antonio. His writing on U.S. foreign policy has been published in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, National Review, Foreign Policy, and other publications.
