Bipartisan House legislation aims to break through communications restrictions in Iran

Bipartisan legislation introduced by Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) aims to expand internet freedom in Iran, disrupt financial networks of corrupt regime officials, and support Iranian citizens fighting for democracy.

FDD Action Senior Director of Government Relations Alexandria Paolozzi Moore said the bill “would expand the Iranian people’s access to uncensored communications, hold accountable the regime officials and oligarchs responsible for repression and expose the networks that finance Tehran’s human rights abuses.”
